Spackolympics, 2007

Some of Toms friend have organised for this year to be the inaugral 'spackolympics'. It involves 12 events over 12 months, 1 winner, lots of losers, etc... kind of silly, but should be a bit of a laugh.

A couple weekends ago the Games kicked off with the 1st event, which was table football.

Next weekend is the 2nd event, which is going to be 10 pin bowling... I am not sure what the other events will be... there are rumours that the grand final will be a Lionel Richie head making competition!! They have put a lot of effort into this spackolympics... there is a myspace site, and there are photos and videos... all very funny.

More snow!

It snowed again on Thursday last week... I just had to make a snowman!

Happy New Year!

After a busy 3 weeks of NZ summer filled with BBQs, drinking, eating, luging, fishing, driving, sailing, sand dune boarding, boogie boarding, swimming and laughter I feel I need another holiday!

Going home for 3 weeks over Christmas was fabulous! I had such a good time being a tourist in my own country. I caught up with most people (Mac, Mel, Moo, Jane, Karen, Michelle, Shirley, Caro, Andrew, Jo, Cisca, Ashmit, Jazmin, Betty & Victoria).

Tom came over and joined me, so he got to see a bit more of NZ that he hadn’t seen before, and meet some more of my friends.

A little while ago Tom went to get his haircut... this is what he emailed me:

'Just been to have my hair cut.
She'd finished (yes I look lovely)
Anywho Guy walks in (ill fitting suit ~ 30)
[to staff] "Alright, is Gianni in?"
[Girl who cuts hair ~21] "Alwight Johnny, don't yeeew look smart"
Guy [grips lapels, shrugs] "Yeah, I'm a business man now"
Girl [giggle] "Yeah, Gianni's out and about somewhere, what cha got?"
Guy "Got some great Rolex's, proper cheap 'n all"
Girl "Really? Nice are they"
Guy "Yeah, top of the line"
Girl "Urrrr I think Gianni bought a new 'un last week"
Guy "Shame coz these are real nice ones"
Girl "Bring some by later and he'll be back"
